Elena Blevins is a 2009 graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelors degree in Organizational Communication. She also has a Masters degree from Mid-Continent University in Human Resource Management. After a short period working in retail management, Elena took a job as the Marketing Assistant for Randy Newcomb at the Marshall County Tourist Commission in the fall of 2011. Since then she has been promoted to Marketing Director and most recently Executive Director in the spring of 2020. She also recently finished her certification to become at Travel Marketing Professional through the Southeast Tourism Society. You often can find Elena volunteering in her local communities to put on new events for local residents and visitors to our area. She believes the travel and tourism industry is a very special industry as its purpose to exist is to provide human connection and give people the opportunity to spend quality time together. Tourism works for everyone, it works for those who visit our shores just as much as for those who call it home. She is excited to find news ways of connecting our tourism industry to the local community and beyond. When she is not working, you can find Elena most often on the soccer field being a soccer mom to her two daughters, Addy and Lucy, and creating new adventures with them through story-telling, exploration, and travel.
