Evonik Corporation has played a vital role in the fight against COVID 19 in Kentucky by providing essential products, equipment and technical support in the production of hand sanitizer.  Evonik Corporation’s response to requests from the state has been an example of the company’s corporate citizenry.

Evonik agreed to provide 9,000 pounds of cosmetic grade hydrogen peroxide to Kentucky.  This specialty grade hydrogen peroxide is important as it contains a specialty stabilizer package which allows the product to maintain its efficacy over a long period of time.  In addition to the material, the company also provided compatible hosing and equipment as well as technical support to ensure the safe handling of the product.

Marshall County Judge/Executive Kevin Neal added, “It’s great to see our local company, Evonik, support the needs of the state and our community during this COVID 19 Pandemic. I’m proud to see the Evonik team working hard to support our community.”

“Evonik is pleased to support Kentucky in its efforts to keep first responders safe,” said Stephen Costanzo, Vice President & General Manager Americas, Active Oxygens for Evonik.  “I’m especially proud of the speed our team was able to respond. From initial request to delivery was less than 4 days.”

“We are excited that Evonik has been able to assist our state’s first responders by providing their products and support.  It has come at a most needed time and we are so very fortunate to have them as a part of our existing industries in Marshall County, Kentucky, and thrilled to have them as partners in KLED” added Josh Tubbs, President of Kentucky Lake Economic Development.

“Calvert City is grateful for the quick response of Evonik. There has been, and remains, a large demand for anti-bacterial supplies across America. Evonik promptly stepped up to meet that demand and Calvert City is proud to have a company like Evonik in our city.” said Blair Travis, Calvert City’s director of marketing, communications, and business development.
